2020 Stewardship Letter
Dear Mt. Holly First UMC Family:
In the midst of a year full of unexpected twists and turns, our church continues to faithfully follow God’s call, and each of you have continued to exhibit amazing and extravagant generosity. We, as the body of Christ, continue the mission and ministry our church provides to our community and beyond as God opens new doors for us. With your help, our church family will walk faithfully towards the opportunities and goals God has placed before us in 2021.
On October 25th, our church begins Our Stewardship Sermon Series entitled The Generosity Challenge. One of the most widely referenced scriptures in the Bible reminds us that God is a most generous God! John 3:16 tells us, For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. We will be learning how to come back home to be the people God created us to be; to understand all of the elements that make up generosity, including the full understanding of the roles that gratitude, prayer, and faith take along the journey.
We have included a Commitment Card for 2021 or you can fill one out online. This is to provide you and your family with the opportunity to make a personal commitment to the church in the areas of Prayers, Presence, Gifts, Service, and Witness for the upcoming year. The card is divided into two sections: one section will be used to submit to the church showing your commitment in these areas. The second section will be yours to keep, to help remind you and your family of your personal commitment throughout the year.
Our Commitment Services will be held on Sunday November 15th. While our in-person worship will be limited, we are still challenging each of you to make an effort to return your Commitment Card at either the 8:32 or 10:55 service, to bring it to the church office, or to return it by mail to the mailing address listed below.
There is also an option for you to fill out a Commitment Card below.
Please prayerfully consider your commitment to Mt. Holly First UMC and our ability to serve our Lord, our church, and our community over the next few weeks.
Feel free to reach out to either Lori Ingle or Nancy Payne with any questions.
Thank you for your continued generosity and commitment to our church. God Bless You!
