I hope and pray that everyone is doing well. This month there are a lot of exciting things going on in the life of the church. World Communion Sunday is Oct. 4th. We will have a drive thru Communion that Sunday, Oct. 4th from 1 to 3pm by the Fellowship Hall Entrance. This year Homecoming will be outside in front of the Community Garden on Sun. Oct. 11 @10:30am. Bring a chair with you and please keep social distance of 6 ft.
We suggest that you wear a mask. I know we are all longing to be back in church worshiping together. We have a task force working on the guidelines and instructions that we all will follow in order to be back in worship safely. We are tentatively looking at Sunday, Oct. 18th as the First Sunday people will register online or call the church for the 8:32 service in the Fellowship Hall or the 10:55 service in the Sanctuary. There will be limited capacity.
We will be checking everyone’s temperature at the door, asking a few questions, and everyone must wear a mask the whole time you are in the church. If you can’t wear a mask the whole time, we ask that you worship with us online. Please, come early so that we can get everyone to their seat before the service starts. All the services will continue to be online for those who are high risk, don’t feel comfortable coming back to church, or maybe out of town.
This has been a difficult experience for all of us, but praise God we have still be able to worship God together with this technology. We have also connected with people beyond our community of Mt. Holly.
God is good, all the time.
